Belton Gains Russian Olympic Win

Award winning Cheesemakers Belton Cheese is enjoying their own Olympic success this week retuning from Russia with new business.

Belton attended the PRODEXPO International Exhibition in Moscow which is the largest annual specialised exhibition in Russia and Eastern Europe.

Belton’s Cheshire Cheese was a winner at the Russian exhibition with buyers enjoying the taste but also the history and provenance of this the oldest British cheese which was even mentioned in the Doomsday Book.

A delighted Justin Beckett, Belton Cheese Managing Director, said: “The Russian exhibition was a great success with extremely positive feedback on all of the cheeses we presented. The show involved a number of tastings along with cheese master classes which allowed us to showcase British Regional Cheese”

The export deal means increasing international demand that has helped Belton’s export business which is growing year on year. The business has seen a 50% increase in export sales in 2013. 

The Belton Export Team are seeking growth in overseas markets ensuring demand for Belton’s regional British cheese continues and extends worldwide.
