Belton Cheese is Best in Show at 2014 International Cheese Awards Nantwich
Belton Cheese is celebrating once again after another outstanding performance at this year’s International Cheese Awards held in Nantwich, Cheshire.
Having accrued the most points in show Belton were crowned ‘Best in Show’ and were awarded the National Westminster Trophy for the fourth consecutive year for their point’s coup, an unprecedented achievement.
Belton also received an incredible 7 Trophies
• The Berkel Trophy for Cheshire Cheese
• The Daresbury Cup for Champion Farmhouse Coloured Cheshire Cheese
• The Trophy for Supreme Creamery Cheshire Cheese
• The Litman Trophy for Best Speciality for Vintage Red Fox
• The Trophy for Champion Organic Cheese for Organic Double Gloucester
• The Belton Cheese Trophy for Champion Creamery Territorial.
The Company also scooped a fantastic 14 Gold awards, 14 Silver and 11 Bronze.
Speaking after the awards, the Company’s Managing Director Justin Beckett said: “We are absolutely delighted with our achievements. The International Cheese Awards are a highlight in the awards season for the industry, and it is a great honour to have our products celebrated in front of hundreds of our peers and customers both from the UK and overseas.”

Family run Belton is one of the biggest names in British territorial cheese making. The Company supplies Cheese into the UK supermarkets and independent wholesalers and also exports worldwide including USA, Canada, Russia, and South Africa. All of the milk for Belton cheese production is collected daily and comes from 85 local farms within a 25-mile radius of the Dairy.
